Terms of Use
1. Who we are
Cutra (the “Service”) is a web-based cutting-list, board-optimisation, kitchen-design and quoting platform for cabinet makers and kitchen manufacturers. It is provided by Zelar Solutions, a South African business (“Zelar”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@zelar.co.za.
2. Accepting these terms
By registering an account, starting a free trial, or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, our Refund & Cancellation Policy and our Delivery Policy. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by users you add to your company.
- Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Each company account has its own data. Do not share one login between unrelated businesses.
4. Plans, trial and payment
- Free trial. New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access. No payment card is required to start it.
- Paid plans. After the trial, continued use requires a paid monthly subscription. The plans currently offered are Cutra Designer, Cutra Pro and Cutra Pro+, at the monthly prices shown on our pricing section. Prices are in South African rand (ZAR) and exclude VAT unless stated.
- Billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Card payments and recurring billing are processed securely by Paystack. You may alternatively arrange payment by EFT, in which case your licence is activated once payment is received.
- Renewal. A card subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy).
- Price changes. We may change prices or plan features. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app, and the change takes effect from your next billing period after that notice.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails we may retry it and, if it remains unpaid, suspend or downgrade the account until it is settled.
5. Licence to use the Service
While your trial or subscription is active, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own business operations. The Service, including its software, design and documentation, remains the property of Zelar and its licensors. You may not copy, resell, sub-license, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
6. Your data
- You own the content you put into Cutra — for example jobs, cabinet designs, parts lists, materials, price books, quotes and invoices (“Your Data”).
- You give us permission to store and process Your Data only so that we can provide, secure and support the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for having the right to enter any personal information about your own customers, and for using it lawfully.
- You can export your cutting lists, quotes and invoices at any time while your account is active. See the Privacy Policy for how deletion works.
7. Acceptable use
You must not: break the law using the Service; upload malicious code; attempt to access another company’s data or our systems without permission; overload or disrupt the Service; or use automated means to scrape it. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
8. AI-generated renders
Some plans include an AI render feature that turns a 3D kitchen view into a photo-style image using a third-party image-generation service, subject to a monthly allowance shown in the app. Renders are illustrations only: they are generated by AI, may differ from the final product in colour, proportions and detail, and must not be relied on as a manufacturing drawing or a guarantee of appearance.
9. Calculations, quotes and your responsibility
Cutra produces cutting lists, board layouts, material quantities, G-code, costings and quotes from the information and prices you enter, using formulas that you can edit. These outputs are tools to assist a qualified tradesperson. You are responsible for checking dimensions, quantities, prices, tax and machine output before cutting material, ordering stock, issuing a quote or invoice, or running a machine. Default prices, formulas and part lists are examples only and must be replaced with your own.
10. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available and to back up Your Data, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may carry out maintenance, and may change or retire features. Support is by email at hello@zelar.co.za during normal South African business hours.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, the Service is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, spoiled material, lost business or lost data arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, do not pay, or use the Service unlawfully, normally after notice where that is reasonable. On termination your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should continue (for example intellectual property, liability and governing law) continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will give notice of material changes by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If a dispute arises, please first contact us at hello@zelar.co.za so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot, the South African courts have jurisdiction. This does not limit your right to approach the National Consumer Commission or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud where they apply.
